I am sure you are quite right in what you say above in (Frank Sheets) but I just must sing the praises of the 7D Mk ii ,I really thank the 7DMkii is the best thing since sliced bread . (ok it did take me some time to master ,but thats just my age )
But what would I know ,I am only learning and will always be learning ,,I hope ,,lol

Thanks for the heads up Artie. Was thinking about pulling the trigger this AM but didn’t. I would like to have it for the Galapagos but still a little undecided re the 5DIV vs the 5DSR. Honestly don’t think I need the sensor of the 5DSR and like the flexibility of the 5DIV over the 5DSR. Overall, I have been a little disappointed with the 7DII re image quality, maybe its just my lack of talent, but full frame just seems to give me a little better image even with the crop. That’s why I am leaning toward the 5DIV on the tripod with the 600mm and the 400DOII on the 1Dx for flight. Still want to hear more from you on your overall opinion on the 5DIV, however what you have shared so far is helpful.
Appreciate your posts and when I finally decide on the body will definitely go thru you on the purchase.
