Great News!
White blood cell count is 8.1. Both docs have me good to go. Now I just have to try not to do anything too dumb. Thanks all for your good wishes.
I have prepared and scheduled 46 brand new, educational blog posts to be published from tomorrow through and including November 26. As near as I can figure, that leave me with 23 more to get done on the road. Should be a piece of cake. But the effort so far has been Herculean considering that each post requires from one to three hours or more of work. But you guys and gals make it worthwhile in lots of ways.
later and love and great picture making, artie
ps: don’t forget: visit the blog, shop in the BAA Online Store, check out BPN, and most important of all, use the B&H links when you buy yourself a new camera or lens! And remember, the more money you spend on gear the better photographer you will become. Not!
If you click on the B&H link above or the one in the top right corner of each blog post page and then do a search your efforts will invisibly be tracked to BAA, and from where I sit, that is a good thing. Many tanks.
Be well and be safe.
Best wishes for great birds, great light and interesting weather.
Thanks GB. Interesting is much better than sunny!

Take it easy, but have a wonderful trip! Can’t believe it has been a year since we went last October! Wish we were there:)
Love, Billie
I was thinking of that just today. Heck, the walk from my American gate to Terminal J at MIA was longer than the walk from the cabin to the Rockhopper shower!!!
I’m just sayin’
later and love and still not too late for the Galapagos AUG 2017 🙂

Have a great trip!
Good to hear your news, have a great and safe trip
It is a amazing world we live in, full of wonderful people and you our a one off. You made me laugh when you mentioned Walmart, I took early retirement 15 years to start my business as a
full time Photographer specialising in Wildlife & Landscape, the first couple of years it was very tuff so I took a job in Walmart as a Greeter ( called Asda in the UK ) and worked welcoming people to store, it was one of the best jobs I have ever had, appart from the one I have now running my own business. The pay was not much to talk about but the colleges where fantastic , I leaned a good lesson in life never judge people by how much money they have. Artie you our very talented man, and I like the way you help fellow Photographers to hone there skills using the best photo gear in the world CANON.
Love and best wishes for your South America photo shoot

That IS great news! Have fun!
That is great news Artie. Not surprising for you though. Before you leave, I just want to thank you for your recommendation on the Enduro 304 tripod. It is far superior to my Gitzo that I have been swearing at for quite a few years. The Enduro is packed and ready to leave for Yosemite on Saturday. I trust your recommendations to the max. Thanks for everything that you do and have a great trip!
Glad to hear you’re doing well! 🙂
Great timing!! Stay well and shoot lots of winners!
