Happy Bird-Day 2021 |
What’s Up?
Jim and I, very early. We left for Orlando Airport before 4am. Jim, Jennifer, and I wish you a wondrous holiday with family, friends, turkey, and football. Try not to eat too, too much.
Count Your Blessings
Be sure to take some time today to reflect and count your blessings. If I were to devote an entire blog post enumerating all of my blessings, it would be the longest blog post ever. I’ll keep it simple by saying that I have had a truly great life filled with friends, family, and photography. And I ain’t done yet.
with love, artie
Happy Thanksgiving to Artie, your staff / helpers & to all your blog friends and the fortunate few who have met you on your IPT’s. May God richly bless one and all in spirit & health & love enough to spill over to those around you. Be safe & warm.
The Walters Family
Happy Thanksgiving with family and safe travels.
Happy Thanksgiving Art. Thanks for all the photo training and products. They have helped me with my 5DmkIV and 1DXmkII. And since DPP4 is no longer slow with the M1 chip, I am using it to process RAW files per your workflow doc recommendation. Hope the birds at LaJolla are good to you!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Eat, drink, and be merry – in moderation.
Jim B
Happy Thanksgiving Artie, highly appreciate all your education via blog and IPT. Wish you a great health and many more years of photography adventures. Mukesh
Artie –
Hope you have a happy & healthy T-Day, and a great stay in NY. Thanks for all you do for us mere mortals!
Thank you Artie for all the work you do to inspire photographers through your blog posts.
What, no metadata? lol
Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Happy thanksgiving Artie!
Have a great holiday. Braving the Thanksgiving air travel crowds is always an interesting experience.
We’re also blessed to have you and Birdsasart as a mentor and friend. Thanks Artie!
Not sure if you want to get into this, Artie… If the A1 is too expensive, what would you suggest.
I have a 7D Mark II with lenses. With wildlife it is nice to be able to crop. Seems like 42 MP is a good compromise. Sony seems to have the technology. I am losing faith in Canon. Thanks!
Hi Sandy,
No problema. You have several choices.
1- Stick with Canon and go for an R6 (as the R5 is not cheap). All you will need is an RF Adapter. The R5 and the R6 are good, but not nearly as good as an a1 (especially for those who like to do lots of birds in flight).
2- Sell all your Canon stuff on the Used Gear page and get a used Sony a9 or a9 II and a new 200-600 along with a 1.4X teleconverter …
Which of those is best? If is a very close call (with the a1 out of the picture).
If you buy something new, please use one of my two affiliate programs. E-mail for details.
thanks with love, artie
